| The CDT spilt from the Colorado Trail here--the CT went into the valley and we stayed high. |

| Not too much snow left, but what is still out there tends to drift into tall walls. Only half a dozen vertical steps brought me up and over the wall. |

| At the road was a gondola--tempting, but I didn't need to go back into the hills after hiking six miles down. We got a ride with Greenflash and his cousin into town...only to find the hostel locked (until 4 p.m. In the mean time it is time to do chores--like blogging). |
