Day 54-Snow Slog

At 10,000 feet the snow hadn't firmed up at all, but we climbed higher and found much firmer snow, but would still unexpectedly post hole.
From the mountain looking back into the Basin.  We were moving slowly--our GPS (both phones) weren't working as usual and the snow was deep and wet.  By lunch we had done three miles.  I had expected to be in town by lunch time.
The snow was firmer and we were making better time.  It started to seem like our 12 mile day into town wouldn't take two days.
Portrait hiking in the snow.  Only a couple miles from town now.
